He is not here, for He is risen
Have you ever felt discouraged as things that were very important to you seemed as if they would never happen and your hope was diminishing? That happened to me near the end of winter. However, the Holy Spirit quickly reminded me that we serve the God of resurrection. Immediately the Lord reminded me of so many miracles He performed throughout the entire Bible for people in hopeless situations.
As Jesus often used natural lessons to teach spiritual principals, the change of seasons spoke new hope of spiritual intervention. Those discouraging thoughts came at the end of winter when nature showed no signs of life, when all the trees were bare. However, in just three short weeks everything that looked dead started coming to life. The spring flowers sprang up so quickly bringing beautiful splashes of yellow and green sprinkled everywhere promising new life is on the way. Nature reminded me of how much more we should rejoice in the resurrection power of God to bring new life into our situations.
We serve “the GOD of Miracles” who in the beginning brought light out of darkness and spoke life and order into a void chaotic world. In John 6:63 Jesus said, “It is the spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” There are situations in life we all face where the flesh profits nothing, they require the life of God through the Word and the Holy Spirit. Jesus always spoke life in the face of death, provision in the time of need and peace to the storm.
As we speak His promises and words of life into circumstances that need to be changed, let hope and faith arise. Let us know that new life will be breathed into hopeless situations.
We as Christians celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ it is the greatest event of all times! Let us remember we are to be like Him and speak God’s word into every situation as Jesus did and believe for new resurrection life. Remember the Father’s promise concerning His Word in Isaiah 55: Then the Lord said to me, “… I am [actively] watching over My word to fulfill it.” AMP. So let us speak words of life!
